What is the difference between v star classic and custom

After having ridden the two, I think the V-Star handles better I do know that he is more confident on the V-Star than he ever was on the Shadow. There are no mechanical differences, just aesthetics and style.

Some people prefer the bobbed fenders and skinny front tires of the "Custom" while other people prefer the full fenders and wide tires of the Classic. I haven't ridden a V-Star Custom, but have ridden other motorcycles with skinny front tires.

My experience, the fat tire is a smoother ride, especially over rough pavement, while the skinny tires maneuver easier. The Custom model is much less common around here. A salesman told me they sell only Custom for every Classics.

Having a bike that's a bit less common might appeal to some people. Also, both models are available in different colors that change from one year to the next. Maybe you don't care about the overall bike style differences, but have a strong preference towards one of the colors.

My own preference, Classic all the way! And the best color ever, the two-tone blue from ' Good Luck deciding! Were those pictures from the day he brought it home? PeterC Posted August 24, Someone will be along soon with the definitive answer. And welcome. Ttaskmaster Posted August 24, Look at the rear mudgard fender in US terms. If it curves down slightly then flicks up at the back, then it's a Custom If it curves all the way down, then it's a Classic.

Look at the rear indicators turn signals. If they're mounted directly either side of the mudguard, it's a Custom. If they're on a seperate bar, near the rear brake light, it's a Classic. If the mudguard is plastic, it's a Custom. If it's metal, it's a Classic. An easy way is a Google Image search for each.
