It's annoying, but I don't know whether ScrobblePod is to blame; I had the same problem with iScrobbler, so maybe something has changed in iTunes itself that causes it to run slowly when an external app is regularly polling it for information.
All I know is, I can't leave this running. I'm still using this one for scrobbling, but what I do now is just run it once every couple days or so, let it scrobble once, then quit it immediately. I finally got tired of iScrobbler causing iTunes to throw a 5 second beachball party everytime I changed tracks, so I decided to try ScrobblePod again.
Much happier with it this time. It's not causing large CPU spikes or locking up iTunes, and it successfully scrobbles tracks from my iPod with no setup required. I notice it uses a lot of memory.
