How long is crysis campaign

This game was pretty short, I'd say a bit longer than CoD4 only. Asao56 n00b. Joined Feb 4, Messages I beat normal difficulty in less than 20 hours.

Im sure if you just do the objectives and not wander around it can be finished in less than 10 hours. Xenomaniac [H]ard Gawd. Joined Mar 12, Messages 1, Yah I'd say a bit longer then CoD4. It's a fun game though. If your going to play it, only play it on Delta Difficulty. The game is soooooooooo much more fun on that difficulty. Normally I wouldn't jump into a game without at least playing it on Normal or medium difficulty before I play harder but this is probably the first game I wished I played it on Delta first.

Use the realism mod also, makes the game look much better. Xenomaniac said:. Part of that is due to intelligent enemy AI which will employ different tactics to take players down. Creating a distraction with C4 on one side of the base, mowing down some soldiers, hiding out with camo and firing upon the remaining enemies with Armor Mode enabled is still a blast. The ability to fully customize weapons on the fly adds even more to the free form combat allows players to really measure their approach.

However, similar to the Xbox and PS3 ports, the default controls are similar to Crysis 2. This means that pressing the sprint key automatically allows players to use Speed Mode at the cost of energy and holding the spacebar grants the Strength Mode jump while armor and camo are given separate buttons. Missing the late game Ascension chapter is incredibly disappointing considering how much of a visual feast it could have been with the modern graphics tweaks. By itself, the single player is still a great semi-open world shooter that allows great levels of freedom.

Anyone who missed out on Crysis the first time around may have a good time despite not receiving the full original game. While Nomad is in the reactor room, Helena sends an experimental signal through Nomad's suit that causes several Ceph machines to absorb too much power and overload, destroying them.

On the flight deck, Nomad fights a Ceph exosuit similar to the one that killed Strickland. A massive Ceph warship then emerges from the sea, and Helena manages to deactivate its shields by sending a signal through Nomad's Nanosuit. Nomad then uses the TAC-Cannon to destroy the Ceph warship, which falls on the carrier and begins to sink it.

Nomad runs across the flight deck and jumps off the carrier into the waiting VTOL, which is piloted by Psycho. As they fly away, Helena is nearly pulled out of the aircraft by the energy field created by the destroyed alien warship. Psycho then receives a transmission that there is another Carrier Strike Group en route to the island and suggests meeting them. Nomad protests, claiming that since they now know how to defeat the Ceph, they need to continue fighting.

A transmission from Prophet, who is inside the energy field on the island, is then received. The VTOL is then seen turning around and heading back to the island. Running parallel to this game is Crysis Warhead. It primarily centers on Psycho capturing a nuclear materials container which contains an alien although it is disabled and did not self-destruct. Most of the game centers around attempting to capture this crate and bring it out of the island. Crytek say that the game will be very replayable and will give the player the tools they need to be very creative with the way they choose to play.

However, some people criticize the campaign to be somewhat short comparing to other games. The campaign was rumored to have been shortened by Crytek so that the rest could be fit into the trilogy. Crysis contains its own Sandbox Editor, much like Far Cry , in which you can edit and create new levels. Such levels have full support in all multiplayer modes. This allows the player to easily build their own levels and spawn with themselves inside to test it whenever they want.

The game plays the same as the original with several modifications and tweaks:. The game still received positive reviews. Many critics praised the graphics and tweaks made to the game, but criticized several of the faults that were in the original Crysis that still appears such as A.

Upon its release, Crysis was met with overwhelmingly positive reviews. X-Play gave it a 3 out of 5 on its "Holiday Buyer's Guide" special episode, praising the graphics and physics, but criticized the steep hardware requirements as well as stating that the game is overhyped with average gameplay. GamePro honored Crysis with a score of 4. They can clearly do BOTH equally as it's been shown before many times..

GG Crytek Bottom line, literally. Crytek is HUGE, no excuse. Five hours for one reviewer isn't indicative that it will be 5 hours for everyone. Yes and I'm one of those people.

I like to take my time and not rush through the game. Especially, if there is stuff to collect then I try to search every nook and cranny. Even then, I still miss stuff and have to go through it again for the trophies of course I really don't see the point in rushing through games because you can miss stuff and are not getting the full experience the developer envisioned.

I just like to take my time and just take everything in and feel like I got my money's worth. Unfortunately, I'm on a budget and won't pick this up on launch so I'll definitely feel like I got my money's worth when it's cheaper.

That's a win in my book. I dont rush either but this is absurd. Am i the only one that feels crysis 3 was kinda rushed to get out before gen cycle ended. It actually looks alot like what crysis 2 should have and at 5 hrs and limited improvemwnts other than polish and pc upgrade is more like an expansion. Honestly i wish games like crysis, cod, battlefield would just do multiplayer. Or go free to play for multiplayer with big updates. The model is changing completely. I cant wait to see the numbers on DS3, Aliens, Crysis 3 and metal gear rising.

Personalky, i think MGR will do the best because it is different but i dont think these games will sell like they once did. Crysis' main component has always been the SP. The campaign isn't 5 hours, multiple people on Crydev confirmed the length to be hours. On a higher difficulty, without rushing, 10 hours sounds reasonable. Yeah, I call BS on this. But is that the way you should play a game? Especially a game like Crysis which has such a heavy stealth element.

And like you said, eye candy. I'll bet this game takes over ten hours for me. It took me 2 years to finish Darksiders. Then just a couple month before Darksiders 2 came out I replayed the first one and actually finished it.

The pattern is repeating itself with Darksiders 2 now. Multiplayer is a top priority for many of these types of games, but that shouldn't mean the single player aspect takes a back seat Especially if the single player campaigns are 5 hrs long?

I don't think it will be 5 hours. I just don't see them cutting down hours down to 5. Including side missions. Yeah, me and my friends want to grab this. However, we can't justify the price. Games are too expensive to just simply go out and buy for the sake of it.

MP is a huge aspect, but quality should be applied across all sectors. On the other hand, everyone plays games differently. So I would use that as an average, rather than an accurate means of measurement. I see what your saying mochachino, but crysis franchise should only be play on PC.
