Boards Yu-Gi-Oh! Legacy of the Duelist Got a question about why a card got banned. User Info: xgamer User Info: Amatsuo. The effects of "Sangan" and "Witch of the Black Forest" will activate, allowing you to search for two monsters. This is a great way to get to the "Exodia" pieces faster. When they go to the graveyard next, their effects will activate again, allowing for up to two more pieces of "Exodia". My theory is because they knew they were about to create Crane Crane.

They had to do something. And she's loooooong gone. The second is Zoodiac Barrage , which is especially cool because of some of the cards it can search, namely hand traps. Yes, you guessed it: hand traps are the perfect thing to get with Sangan right now. Hand traps fall in and out of favor, but right now I feel that most people agree they're amazing. Sangan can fetch pretty much all of them to your hand after you deestroy it with Zoodiac Barrage or a Metalfoes, which makes Metalfoe Zoodiacs a very appealing choice for the upcoming format, even with Majespecter Unicorn - Kirin Forbidden.

Another quick note is that Sangan doesn't stop you from summoning whatever you search. I really, really wish that Sangan could grab Denko Sekka for just that reason, but alas it's slightly over the ATK cap.

At the moment this won't be very relevant besides getting a monster that you'd want to use for Xyz Material to your hand, but it's a key portion missing from its restriction that could be useful later on. What makes that so powerful is that it doesn't require you to draw any specific combo pieces, unlike the Metalfoe Zoodiac plays. It might not seem like a big deal, but in a format where Maxx "C" will very likely remain Limited, searching your copy before your opponent sees theirs could be a duel-changer.

My question is: Which effect will sangan have? The last effect i have noticed is this: If this card is sent from the field to the Graveyard: Add 1 monster with or less ATK from your Deck to your hand, but you cannot activate cards, or the effects of cards, with that name for the rest of this turn. Kind regards. After picking up a monster with atk or less, must i shuffle my deck? Original Effect: Send fusion material monsters from your deck to your graveyard, fusion summon the appropriate monster at your second standby phase after activation, and destroy it when Fusion leaves the field.

Errata: Now, the materials aren't sent immediately but during your first standby phase after activation your fusion monster is still summoned at the second. Unlike most fusion spells, Future Fusion pulls materials from your deck, maintaining hand advantage while summoning a fearsome titan. But it's just as useful for quickly stockpiling your graveyard, especially with monsters that need more than two materials, like "Five-Headed Dragon" and "Quintet Magician".

Now, you'll need to wait a turn before getting the materials into graveyard, unfortunate but still an awesome ability, especially with the looming fusion monster. In short, the longer your opponent takes to deal with Fusion, the more trouble they'll be in. Erratum remain a controversial policy, with some players appreciating them while others feel cheated out of their original abilities.

Personally, I enjoy them: better to have a weakened card available than a monstrous one you'll never be able to use. Plus, errata can change over time, potentially giving cards more power, and I'm eager to what alterations other long-banned cards take. But for now, vote for your favorite and I'll see you at our next Yu-Gi-Oh countdown!
